1. About these Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of www.modernhypnosisbyalancurrie.com (the “Site”) and the services, digital products and resources provided through Modern Hypnosis by Alan Currie (“Modern Hypnosis”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By using the Site, creating an account, booking a session, downloading a resource or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
2. About Modern Hypnosis by Alan Currie
Modern Hypnosis by Alan Currie is operated by Alan Currie from Ayr, South Ayrshire, Scotland. The Site provides hypnotherapy services, self-guided digital resources, guided audios, toolkits, ebooks, The Anxiety Solution™ and the free Feel Better Fast Toolkit™.
One-to-one hypnotherapy is available face-to-face in Ayr and, where appropriate, online by Zoom.
3. Eligibility and clients under 18
The Site contains general information and digital resources that may be accessed by adults. One-to-one hypnotherapy may be provided to clients aged 10 and over where Alan considers the work appropriate.
For a client under 18, appropriate involvement and consent from a parent or legal guardian is required. A parent or legal guardian may also be required to participate in the booking process or be present for part or all of a session, depending on the client’s age, circumstances and the nature of the work.
Digital purchases and account creation by a person under 18 should be completed by, or with the permission of, a parent or legal guardian.
4. One-to-one hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a collaborative service. Individual responses vary and no particular result or outcome can be guaranteed.
You are responsible for providing information that is relevant to the safe and appropriate delivery of the service. Alan may decline, pause or end work where the service is not considered suitable, where another form of support is more appropriate, or where safety or safeguarding concerns arise.
Hypnotherapy does not replace medical diagnosis, medical treatment, psychiatric care or emergency support. You should seek appropriate professional healthcare where needed.
5. Bookings, fees and payment
Session fees and product prices are those shown on the Site or confirmed to you at the time of booking or purchase. Prices may change, but a price change will not affect a purchase or booking already confirmed.
Payment may be collected through Kajabi and the payment processor made available at checkout. You must provide accurate billing and account information.
6. Session cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or rearrange a one-to-one session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
Where at least 24 hours’ notice is given, the appointment may be rearranged without a cancellation charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, and missed appointments, may be charged in full.
If Modern Hypnosis needs to cancel or rearrange a session, you will be offered a replacement appointment. If a suitable replacement cannot be agreed, any amount paid for that session will be refunded.
7. Digital products and access
Digital products may include ebooks, PDFs, guided audio, toolkits, The Anxiety Solution™ and other self-guided materials. Access may be provided by download, streaming, a Kajabi customer account, email delivery or a combination of these methods.
Digital products are licensed to you for your personal, non-commercial use only. Your access is personal to you and must not be shared, resold, copied, republished, uploaded, distributed or made available to other people.
Where a digital product is supplied immediately, you may be asked at checkout to expressly request immediate access and acknowledge that your statutory 14-day cancellation right is lost once the download or streaming of the digital content begins. Your statutory rights in relation to faulty, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming digital content are unaffected.
8. The Feel Better Fast Toolkit™
The Feel Better Fast Toolkit™ is a free self-guided resource. Access may require you to provide an email address. Receiving the Toolkit does not require you to purchase The Anxiety Solution™ or any other paid product.
Marketing emails will only be sent where permitted by applicable law and in accordance with the choices available to you at sign-up. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
9. The Anxiety Solution™
The Anxiety Solution™ is a self-guided digital product containing a structured collection of educational and practical resources. It is not a substitute for individual medical, psychological, psychiatric or crisis care.
The contents of The Anxiety Solution™ may be organised, updated or improved over time. Any material change affecting a customer’s existing paid access will be handled fairly and will not remove statutory consumer rights.
10. Accounts and security
You may need a Kajabi account to access certain products. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account.
You must notify Modern Hypnosis if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe an account is being shared, misused or used in breach of these Terms.
11. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the Site and its original content, written materials, guided audios, PDFs, toolkits, ebooks, branding, frameworks, product names and other resources are owned by or licensed to Alan Currie / Modern Hypnosis by Alan Currie and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
This includes, where applicable, The Anxiety Solution™, The Layering Protocol™, The Emotional Regulation Series, HEAL • SEE • LIVE™, The Calm Kids World™, the Feel Better Fast Toolkit™ and associated original materials.
Purchase or access gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the material for your own personal use. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
12. Acceptable use
You must not:
- copy, reproduce, sell, licence, distribute or commercially exploit Site or product content without written permission;
- share paid login details, downloads or files with another person;
- attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the Site or Kajabi account areas;
- use automated tools to scrape or extract protected content except where permitted by law;
- use the Site or Services for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or harmful purposes.
13. Confidentiality
Information shared in a one-to-one hypnotherapy context is treated confidentially. Confidentiality may be limited where disclosure is required by law, where there is a serious and immediate safety concern, where safeguarding duties arise, or where information must be shared with a service provider strictly to deliver or administer the service.
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
14. Third-party services and links
The Site may use or link to third-party services including Kajabi, Zoom, payment processors and Amazon. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
Modern Hypnosis is not responsible for the content, availability or independent practices of third-party websites or services.
15. Availability of the Site and digital access
We aim to keep the Site and digital products available, but continuous or uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, platform updates, internet failure, third-party outages or events outside our reasonable control.
Where a material access problem affects a paid product, we will take reasonable steps to restore access or provide an appropriate alternative.
16. Liability and statutory rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to those protections, Modern Hypnosis is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or business losses arising from use of products supplied for personal use.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
17. Suspension or termination of access
We may suspend or terminate access to an account or digital product where there is a material breach of these Terms, including unauthorised sharing, copying or misuse. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.
18. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the Site, products, services or applicable requirements. The latest version will be published on the Site with an updated effective date.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already acquired under a completed purchase.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you also retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available to you under the law applicable to consumers in your part of the UK.
